Dashin Dee, Miss Racy Vike Win Divisions at Los Alamitos
Dashin Dee and Miss Racy Vike are expected to run in the $100,000 Horsemen’s Quarter Horse Racing Assn. Championship Feb. 2 after scoring victories in divisions of the Grade I Las Damas Handicap at Los Alamitos Saturday night.
Dashin Dee Dee won her division of the 400-yard race in 19.92 seconds under Kip Didericksen and paid $23.60. The 4-year-old mare led all the way in beating Lil Bit Rusty by a half-length. Favored Isaws Sugar Bear was fourth.
Miss Racy Vike, ridden by Steve Treasure, won in 19.98, beating the favorite, Tempered Glass, also by a half-length. Miss Racy Vike, also a 4-year-old mare, paid $7.20. Tempered Glass broke through the gate before the race and had to be reloaded.
