Westbound Ventura Freeway to Be Closed
All westbound lanes of the Ventura Freeway between Balboa Boulevard and Wilbur Avenue will be closed for restriping at midnight today, the state Department of Transportation announced Monday.
Two westbound lanes between Balboa and Wilbur will close at 10 p.m., a third will close at 11 p.m., and by midnight, all lanes will be closed until 5 a.m. Wednesday.
Detour routes using Ventura Boulevard will be posted during the closure, which is part of the Ventura Improvement Project to widen and improve the Ventura Freeway between Agoura Hills and the Hollywood Freeway interchange.
