Oscar for Best Undies: Air-conditioned underwear, a new movie film and a special-effects printer were among the new technologies awarded scientific or technical prizes by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Given for devices, methods, formulas, discoveries or inventions, the scientific Academy Awards will be presented March 2, the Academy said. The Diligent Dwarves Effects Lab won the technical achievement award for the Actor Climate System, ultrathin undergarments that can cool or warm the actor wearing them.
