THE SIDELINES : Norwegian Skier Hurt in Practice

KITZBUEHEL, Austria —
Norwegian skier Lasse Arnesen, seventh in World Cup standings, suffered hand, knee and pelvis injuries today when he fell during a practice run for this weekend’s Hahnenkamm downhill race.
Arnesen was the second skier hospitalized in two days while training for Saturday’s famed race at Kitzbuehel. American Bill Hudson was injured Wednesday.
Arnesen hit the edge of the course’s notorious blind dip known as the “Mouse Trap,” where Hudson was hurt.
