Tom Hayes, the former UCLA defensive coordinator who was defensive backfield coach at Texas A&M;, was hired today as Oklahoma’s defensive coordinator, pending approval of the university’s Board of Regents. Hayes will replace Charlie Sadler, who was named head coach at Northern Illinois.
