Man Sought After 2 Bodies Discovered in His Apartment

Authorities are looking today for a 38-year-old gas station cashier wanted for questioning in the deaths of two women found in his Laguna Niguel apartment.

Orange County Sheriff’s Department Lt. Richard J. Olson said the bodies were discovered Monday morning in Robert Davis’ two-bedroom apartment.

Authorities were not immediately able to say who the victims were because of the condition of the bodies, Olson said. He said coroners were using dental charts and fingerprints to identify the victims during an autopsy this morning.

Friends and neighbors, however, identified the victims as Davis’ wife, Suzette, 39, and her 20-year-old daughter, Jodi Nordfelt. They were discovered after employers were unable to contact them when they did not show up for work.

Olson declined to say whether Davis is a suspect in the case but said he also failed to show up for work Monday.

“At this point we are looking for him to talk to him to find out if he knows anything about the incident,” Olson said.

Robert Davis is described as 5 feet, 10 inches tall, weighing 180 pounds, with blond hair and green eyes. He was last seen on Sunday morning, when he picked up his 13-year-old stepdaughter, Silvia Burke, who spent the night at the Laguna Niguel home of Bill Orr, Orr said.
