Neil Bush Wins Extension: The nation’s top savings and loan regulator granted the President’s son a 10-day extension to file documents, arguing that he should not be penalized for his actions as a director of Denver-based Silverado Banking, Savings & Loan Assn. Timothy Ryan, director of the Office of Thrift Supervision, gave Bush until Jan. 28 to counter an administrative law judge’s recommendation last month that the agency file a formal order prohibiting Bush from violating S&L; regulations in the future. The previous deadline was today.
