Dana Wilkerson, Trise Jackson, Serina Strange and Marsheela Harriston each scored 12 points, which proved to be more than enough for Cal State Long Beach to defeat UC Irvine, 81-44, in a Big West Conference game Thursday night at Irvine.

Irvine made things easier for Long Beach by shooting only 34%. The 49ers, 7-5 overall and 2-1 in the Big West, shot 50% and also outrebounded Irvine, 47-22. Harriston led the way with 14.

For the Anteaters (3-12, 1-5), forward Yvonne Catala had 15 points to lead all scorers.

California 92, USC 66--Freshman center Lisa Leslie scored 33 points, but she didn’t get much help from her teammates as the Trojans lost the Pacific 10 Conference game at Berkeley.
