Moorpark Man Killed in Truck Accident
A 37-year-old Moorpark man died Sunday after his pickup truck crashed into an tree on West Los Angeles Avenue, a Simi Valley police spokesman said.
The victim, whose name was being withheld pending notification of relatives, was driving alone on a rural stretch of the two-lane road on the city’s west side at 4:40 p.m. when his 1990 pickup left the road near the Simi Valley sanitation plant, Sgt. Fred James said.
James said the truck ran into an oak tree on the northern side of the road. Ventura County firefighters removed the victim from the truck and he was declared dead at the scene, James said.
