Radiothon: KABC Talkradio will sponsor a 24-hour live radiothon to benefit the Leukemia Society of America on Friday through Saturday. The show will be broadcast live from the Hotel Queen Mary in Long Beach starting at 7 p.m. on Friday. Ken Minyard and Roger Barkley of the “Ken and Barkley Company” will kick off the radiothon, followed by such KABC personalities as Michael Jackson, Ira Fistell, Ray Briem, Jorge Jarrin, Steve Edwards and Dr. David Viscott, who will take turns hosting the broadcast. Several celebrities are scheduled to participate, among them Tracy Nelson, who will talk about her battle with Hodgkin’s disease.
