Watching the War on Television

Share

How about some freedom of speech support from the freedom of the press advocates, namely, newspaper, TV and radio people, to clarify the disturbing pitch of the President and other Administration people, as well as a lot of congressmen. They have been equating the stand of those who protest war with nonsupport for the men and women in the armed services. That is not true and seems to me to be a simplistic way of saying the war protesters are somehow not “patriotic.”

The media can and should do a lot to correct this misinformation. Do we live in a democracy? Or are we required to fall in a lock-step to support the President even if we disagree completely with his policies?
