LETTER FROM THE EDITOR

Share

We want to hear from you.

There’s a lot going on in the San Fernando Valley and the adjacent areas and we want your views on the issues, problems and success stories we write about every day in the Valley Edition. With war in the Persian Gulf and a recession in the United States, not to mention the everyday distractions we all face in our personal lives, we also know that some folks just don’t have enough time to write down their thoughts and submit them as a Letter to the Editor.

So we’ve decided to make it easier for you.

Starting today, we’re accepting “Telephonic Letters to the Editor.” If you want to praise or criticize a local story we’ve written or address in any way a Valley-area issue, you can call us at a special number, 772-3244 (or 800-LA Times, Ext. 23244), and have up to two minutes to convey your thoughts. We’ll transcribe those comments daily. Like written letters, comments should be brief and are subject to condensation. We won’t be able to run everyone’s telephonic letter, but we’ll use as many as we can each week.

Of course if you want to talk directly to an editor, you can always call us at 772-3300 and we’ll put you in touch with the appropriate person. We want to know what you’re thinking. Give us a call.
