THOUSAND OAKS : Schools Employees to Get Lottery Bonus
More than 600 classified and personnel workers at Thousand Oaks schools will receive a lottery bonus of about 2% of their 1990 salaries, officials said.
Under their contract, the workers get 8% of the California Lottery funds received by the Conejo Valley Unified School District.
Secretaries, custodians, maintenance workers and food service employees will receive between $36 and $755, depending on the number of hours worked. Those employed for only part of the year receive prorated bonuses.
The 2.05% bonus, to be issued March 1, is down from 2.79% in 1989 and 2.53% in 1988. District officials said lottery funds the district received decreased last year.
