A Day at the Races
Oh, lucky day for the horses at Santa Anita racetrack, when it’s cool enough so they can round a turn with minimum lather on their hides! Oh, lucky day for horse owners, ditto! They can bring out of hiding their maximum leather, sport their silks, and fetch their furs.
The classic suit still shows a lot of horsepower. And the classic suit with that element of surprise at the finish line--an intriguing length of leg--is once again in the winner’s circle.
But at the track these days, most women seem to leave the boots to the jockeys.
