The Sidelines : Election Delays Wildcats’ Tip Off
Arizona basketball fans will be able to have their vote and see the Wildcats too on Feb. 26.
Polling places will be open until 7 p.m. for the gubernatorial runoff election between Democrat Terry Goddard and Republican Fife Symington, and tip off for the Stanford-Arizona game has been moved back an hour, until 8.
On Sunday, Pima County Democratic Chairman William E. Minette wrote University of Arizona President Henry Koffler that the game’s scheduled starting time would pose a conflict for many people because polling places remain open until 7 p.m.
