Point Loma Nazarene won its fifth consecutive game and seventh of its last eight, beating Southern California College, 67-58, at home. Lisa Miller had 15 points and led four PLNC players who scored in double figures. Becky Wilson had 14 points and nine rebounds, and Camille Armijo and Christy Stevens finished with 11 each for the Crusaders, who improved to 5-0 in the Golden State Athletic Conference, 15-6 overall. Kristen Bevis scored a game-high 27 for SCC (10-12).

UC San Diego rallied from a two-point deficit at halftime to beat Cal State San Bernardino, 54-48, at home. Cari Young had 14 points for the Tritons (15-4), and Kathleen Alyokie and Lisa Beaver each had 12. CSSB fell to 8-15.

MEN’S BASKETBALL

Point Loma Nazarene was outscored by 14 points the second half en route a 92-71 Golden State Athletic Conference loss Southern California College at home. Jeff Bickmore led SCC (4-2, 17-5) with 18 points, and Rusty Fallin had 20 for PLNC, which fell to 2-4, 10-13.
