Sharing: The music video channel VH-1 and Cher have teamed up to show support for U.S. troops. “Cher’s Video Canteen,” a two-hour special hosted by the performer, will be presented to U.S. troops worldwide through the Armed Forces Television and Radio Service. The program features videos by artists such as Bonnie Raitt, Bruce Springsteen, Paul Simon, the Rolling Stones and the Traveling Wilburys. Cher will introduce the videos and reminisce about the musicians. A montage of Cher videos featuring her latest, “The Shoop Shoop Song” from the movie “Mermaids,” will be included. The program also provides information on how soldiers can write to VH-1 to dedicate songs to loved ones in the United States.
