Glass Salesman Arraigned in Shattering of Windows

Share

A glass salesman pleaded not guilty Wednesday to felony vandalism charges alleging he used a BB gun to shatter 32 store windows. Richard Joseph Angona, 39, of Woodland Hills entered the five not guilty pleas in Van Nuys Municipal Court. He remained free on $5,000 bail.

Authorities initially suspected Angona of shooting out the windows in an attempt to drum up business for a North Hollywood glass company where he worked as a salesman, said Deputy Dist. Atty. James Baker.

“At first we thought it was a profit motive because he worked at a glass company. But no, it appears to be more for the thrill of seeing glass shatter and break. He admitted that it was fun to watch the glass fall,” Baker said.
