A 14-year-old boy was shot to death and a teen-age girl was wounded Friday in a drive-by shooting in Carson that was described as a possible gang-related attack, authorities said. The victims apparently were standing in the 22000 block of Ravenna Avenue when they were sprayed with gunfire from a passing vehicle about 8 p.m., Sheriff’s Deputy Bill Linnemeyer said.
The boy was taken to Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, where he died about 40 minutes later. The girl, whose exact age was not immediately known, was being treated for wounds to her hand and leg.
Detectives were investigating the shooting as possibly gang-related, Linnemeyer said.
