Ione Skye, her brother Donovan Leitch, James Brolin, Brooke Adams, Fairuza Balk and Robert Knepper star in Cineville Partners II Productions’ “Gas, Food & Lodging,” getting under way in New Mexico under the direction of the script’s writer, Allison Anders. The romantic comedy set in a truck stop off an interstate is executive produced by Seth Willenson and Carl Colpaert.

Singer-musicians Stephen Stills, David Crosby, Maria Muldaur and Bonnie Bramlett will make cameo appearances in Pellegrini/Finnegan-Willsfield Productions’ “Platinum Blues,” which rolls March 4 in Los Angeles under the direction of Ed Pellegrini. The music-oriented drama concerns a young musician who returns to the music scene after a gig in prison. Pellegrini & Sean Finnegan produce.

Another upcoming film about prison, Concorde’s “Inside,” starring Don Wilson, should be more realistic than most. Not only will it location in the L.A. County jail starting Feb. 4, but one of the writers, Charles Mattera, is himself an ex-con.

Glenn Plummer, playing a young playwright, and Ele Keats, playing a Greek waitress, join Al Pacino and Michelle Pfeiffer in Paramount’s “Frankie & Johnny,” which began production in L.A. last week under the direction of Garry Marshall. Terrence McNally wrote the script.

Michael Lessac is the director of “House of Cards.” He was incorrectly identified in last Sunday’s column.
