City Council Panel OKs Nomination to CRA Board

A Los Angeles City Council committee Monday unanimously approved transportation consultant Norm Emerson for appointment to the Community Redevelopment Agency’s board of commissioners.
Emerson, who was nominated by Mayor Tom Bradley, previously worked for Bradley on transportation projects and now operates his own consulting and lobbying firm.
If approved by the full council later this month, Emerson will replace CRA commissioner Dollie Chapman, who resigned in January under pressure from the council’s Community Redevelopment and Housing Committee.
