COUNTYWIDE : Goodwill Closes 3 Donation Centers

In an effort to save money, Goodwill Industries has closed three donation centers in Orange County.

One center in Orange and two in Anaheim were closed. The Orange center is at Glassell Street and Taft Avenue. The Anaheim centers are at Magnolia Avenue and Ball Road and at State College Boulevard and La Palma Avenue.

“We’re in the process of opening up some recycling centers in Orange County in the next few months . . . so we identified some sites that were creating expenses that could be put into other areas,” Goodwill spokeswoman Andrea Pronk said.

Donations at the sites that were closed did not offset the cost of staffing trailers there, Pronk said.

Goodwill continues to operate 23 other donation centers throughout Orange County, plus locations on the weekends at Orange Coast College and Golden West College swap meets.
