TEACH-IN: The faculty refused to let students cut classes to attend today’s UCI Persian Gulf “educational symposium,” but the events have support from groups not often seen together, including the Young Republicans, College Democrats, Young Americans for Freedom, Muslim Student Assn. and Israel-Jewish Peace. . . . One organizer called it “unheard of” to get them all “endorsing the same program.” Among speakers: wives of Marines in the Gulf.
