William Morris Agency’s David Goldman Joins ICM
Film agent David Goldman joined International Creative Management, adding to a recent exodus from the William Morris Agency’s film department.
Goldman, 34, said director Renny Harlin (“Die Hard 2”) will join him at ICM. The agent declined to say whether other Morris clients had agreed to join him. He has worked closely with rock star Billy Idol, director Dwight Little, and actor Brandon Lee, among others.
Goldman is the fifth Morris film agent to join ICM in the last two weeks. A sixth agent from the Morris film department, John Ptak, left for the competing Creative Artists Agency last week.
Television agent Jerry Katzman was named president of Morris last week in an executive shuffling. Norman Brokaw, who was previously president, became chairman and remained chief executive officer.
Goldman, who graduated from UCLA’s law school, briefly practiced entertainment law before joining Morris in 1981.
