Zuckerman Shows Interest in N.Y. Daily News: Developer Mortimer Zuckerman is trying to arrange direct meetings with leaders of the striking New York Daily News unions as part of a possible bid to buy the financially ailing tabloid, union sources said. Zuckerman, who publishes U.S. News & World Report and Atlantic Monthly, is viewed by labor officials as the best hope for a sale of the paper, a union source added.
