Denzel Washington and John Lithgow play good cop/bad cop in the Silver Pictures/Warners action-thriller “Richochet,” currently filming in L.A. Russell Mulcahy directs a cast that includes Lindsay Wagner, Kevin Pollak, Victoria Dillard, rap artist Ice-T, Josh Evans, Jessie Ventura and Mary Ellen Trainer.

Matthew Modine and Jennifer Grey will star in “Wind,” Filmlink Int’l/Zoetrope Studios’ action-adventure set against the America’s Cup race. Carroll Ballard will direct Rudy Wurlitzer’s script at the end of February in Australia followed by locations in Newport, R.I. Mata Yamamoto and Tom Luddy will produce for executive producers Francis Ford Coppola and Fred Fuchs.

Liam Neeson and Jorge Rivera--Mexico’s biggest action star--will star in Winmill Entertainment’s “Where the River Runs Gold,” a tale of California Gold Rush days. Philip Borsos will direct Joe Hockaday’s script, which was originally developed at the Sundance Institute. Producer Chip Miller launches production June 1 in Western Canada with further location work in Mexico and Big Sur.

Gregory Hines will make his directorial debut later this year when he helms Lantana Productions’ “Gotta Dance,” a drama about a gang member who must decide between dance and his home boys. The movie will film in L.A.

John Cusack will perform a cameo in Woody Allen’s latest film, “Shadows and Fog,” currently filming in Manhattan. . . . Robert Wuhl joins Martin Landau in “Mistress,” which director Barry Primus starts filming the end of February.
