Today is Presidents’ Day. The following will be closed in observance of the holiday:
All county, state and federal offices.

Newport trash--Due to incorrect information from the city, a weekend listing of holiday closures gave wrong information about trash collections in Newport Beach. Trash pick-up in the city is on regular schedule.
All city offices, except in Westminster.
County, state and federal courthouses.
City and county libraries.
Banks and savings and loans.
All public elementary, junior high and high schools. Schools in the Saddleback Valley
Unified School District will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday also. Cal State Fullerton, UC Irvine and all the community colleges will be closed, but Chapman College will remain open.
Mail: There will be no mail delivery today. All post offices will be closed and mail deposited in mailboxes will be picked up according to the posted holiday schedule.
Trash: There will be regular trash pickup by city and county refuse workers today, except in Newport Beach. Residents there are asked to put their trash out a day late for the rest of the week.
Buses: Orange County Transit District buses will run on regular schedule. There will be dial-a-ride and car-pool services available on the holiday.
Parks: All city- and county-run parks and recreation facilities will be open during regular hours.
