Ticket Takers: Orion Pictures’ just-out “Silence of the Lambs,” about a search for a serial killer, dominated the weekend box office, earning about $11.8 million. But it was a tight win. 20th Century Fox’s “Sleeping With the Enemy,” starring Julia Roberts as a woman on the run from her sociopath husband, earned about $11.2 million, for the No. 2 spot. In third place was the Universal Pictures comedy “King Ralph.” Starring John Goodman as an ordinary guy elevated to royalty, it opened with an estimated $7 million. Another new title, Warner Bros.’ “Nothing But Trouble,” directed by and starring Dan Aykroyd, lived up to its title: It earned just $3.5 million.
