Murderous Ratings: The conclusion of “Love, Lies and Murder,” NBC’s dramatization of a 1985 Orange County family murder case, topped A.C. Nielsen’s national ratings Monday night. The movie drew a 20.3 rating (about 18.9 million households). CBS’ “Mary Tyler Moore 20th Anniversary Show,” which ran against the final 90 minutes of “Love, Lies and Murder” received a 17.4 rating (16.2 million households) while ABC’s “Fire! Trapped on the 37th Floor,” based on the 1988 blaze at the downtown Los Angeles First Interstate Bank Building, had a 11.2 rating (10.4 million households).
