Body of Burned Man Found in Parking Lot
Los Angeles police Friday were attempting to identify the burned body of a man discovered in a parking lot behind a Van Nuys bar.
Firefighters were called to the Dugout Bar at Hazeltine Avenue and Oxnard Boulevard around 3:30 a.m. after someone telephoned and reported a fire, according to Lt. Helen Kidder.
Upon arrival, firefighters found the body and called police.
Kidder said investigators were attempting to learn the man’s identity and what caused his death.
No additional details were known, she said.
