WOMEN’S BASKETBALL : Story’s Surge in Second Half Powers USC

Tammy Story scored 10 of her 20 points during a 19-6 run in the second half that lifted USC to a 67-44 victory over Oregon in a Pacific 10 game at Eugene, Ore., Sunday.
The Trojans, who have won five of their last six games, improved to 15-10 overall, 9-6 in the Pac-10.
Oregon fell to 10-14 and 3-11.
USC’s Lisa Leslie scored 10 of her 12 points after the Trojans took a 26-22 halftime lead.
Joni Easterly added 14 points for USC. Debbie Sporcich scored 12 points to lead the Ducks.
Oregon State 89, UCLA 83--Judy Shannon scored 30 points and grabbed 14 rebounds, leading to a Pac-10 victory over the Bruins at Corvallis, Ore.
After UCLA (8-7, 13-12) opened a 6-0 lead, Oregon State (6-8, 14-10) scored 10 consecutive points and never trailed again. It led at halftime, 39-29.
Rehema Stephens led the Bruins with 24 points and also grabbed 10 rebounds. Natalie Williams added 17 points.
