Universal Cuts Admission Fee: Following Disneyland’s example, Universal Studios Hollywood will cut its admission price by $5 for California residents between March 15 and May 5. Universal said the move is designed to promote the theme park’s $100-million expansion, touted as the most ambitious in its 26-year history. The cuts will move admissions down to $17.50 for adults and $12 for children. The reduction follows a similar move by Disneyland, which reduced its admission price to $20 through March 10, from $27.50 for adults and $22.50 for children.
