Curtain Falls on Broadway: Closing notices have been posted on Broadway for two Andrew Lloyd Webber productions. “Aspects of Love,” the musical starring his ex-wife Sarah Brightman, will close Saturday after 377 performances, the shortest run of any Lloyd Webber musical on Broadway. “Aspects,” which opened in April to generally negative notices, cost an estimated $8 million and little of that has been recouped. A provisional closing notice also has gone up for “La Bete,” an elaborate comedy set in 17th-Century France and produced by Lloyd Webber and Stuart Ostrow. The show, the most expensive play in Broadway history, cost $2 million to open and may close Saturday after only 24 performances.
