Most Could Get By on $4 Million a Year
In the article (Feb. 22) about Tony Gwynn’s signing of his contract extension, it was reported that he said he could live with $4 million a year, and then was surprised that the people present laughed at this.
This seems to epitomize how out-of-touch baseball players are with reality and the amounts of money they earn.
