A pregnant woman remained under treatment at UC San Diego Medical Center Saturday after she was shot in the chest during a robbery on Friday afternoon, police said.
The victim was initially listed in critical condition, but hospital officials declined Saturday to provide additional details.
The woman, who was not identified, was held up in the 5100 block of Imperial Avenue about 1:30 p.m., said a spokesman for the San Diego Police Department. She suffered a single gunshot wound.
No other details were available.
