Police are looking for a man who robbed a Pacific Beach bank Monday of $971.

The 11:35 a.m. robbery was at the Wells Fargo Bank branch in the 1700 block of Garnet Avenue, police spokesman Bill Robinson said.

The robber walked up to a teller and handed her a note written on white, lined paper that read: “I have a gun. Take the money from your drawer and put it on the counter quickly or I will shoot.”

Once the robber had the money, he left through the bank’s back door.

The robber is described as white, in his 20s, weighing about 150 pounds and of thin build. He has short brown hair and was wearing sunglasses. He was wearing black denim pants and jacket, and was carrying a red back pack.
