O’Neal and No. 1 Nevada Las Vegas’ Stacey Augmon and Larry Johnson are among the 12 finalists for the 1990-91 John R. Wooden Award, given annually by the Los Angeles Athletic Club.
Other finalists are Kenny Anderson of Georgia Tech, Calbert Cheaney of Indiana, Todd Day of Arkansas, Jimmy Jackson of Ohio State, Christian Laettner of Duke, Don MacLean of UCLA, Eric Murdock of Providence, Billy Owens of Syracuse and Steve Smith of Michigan State.
The winner will be announced April 3.
