Nestle Moving Some Operations to L.A.: Nestle USA Inc. is moving more of its operation from its suburban location outside Cleveland to Los Angeles and may be leaning toward moving its headquarters out of the Cleveland area. Nestle S.A. of Switzerland in January combined its Carnation Co. of Los Angeles and Nestle Enterprises Inc. of Solon, Ohio. Last Friday, Nestle announced that it will consolidate its 15 U.S. companies into six units. And on Monday it said it will consolidate its Solon administration, corporate affairs and communications, human resources and loss-prevention departments, with much of the work being moved to Los Angeles.
