Culver City : Columbia Moves Offices
Columbia Pictures Entertainment Inc. has moved its offices into Filmland Corporate Center, across the street from Columbia’s studio lot.
About 250 employees will occupy three floors of the eight-story Filmland building, or about 60,000 square feet, said Todd Dickie, Grubb & Ellis office property specialist, who represented the Filmland owners in the lease. The entertainment company, which is consolidating operations in New York City, Burbank and elsewhere, plans to renovate and build structures on its movie lot at Overland Avenue and Washington Boulevard to establish the site as Columbia’s corporate headquarters.
The construction, which has yet to be approved by the city, is estimated to take more than a decade to complete.
