There is no Los Angeles Times Magazine today. The staff of the Magazine is at work on a new, larger-format Sunday magazine that will appear April 7.
The new Magazine, 40% larger than the old, also will have a broader editorial focus, combining a strong regional identity with the global reach and resources of The Times. The Magazine will offer a mix of local, national and foreign stories as well as an expanded Style section that will cover the latest trends in fashion, design, architecture, gardening and beauty. Restaurant and wine reviews will be moved from the Sunday Calendar section into the Magazine.
The Magazine will not appear on March 17, March 24 or March 31, except for the Traveling in Style magazine on March 17.
The Sunday crossword puzzle will appear in Calendar today and on the next three Sundays. The puzzle is scheduled to return to its usual place, on the next-to-last page of the Magazine, on April 7, when the expanded Los Angeles Times Magazine makes its debut.
