A 19-year-old San Bernardino County man whose car was stopped at a traffic signal in southwest Los Angeles was shot and killed Monday by an occupant of another auto, police said. Marlon D. George of Rialto was pronounced dead at the scene, said coroner’s spokesman Bob Dambacher.

George was driving east on Manchester Avenue about 12:30 a.m., when he stopped for a traffic light at Denker Avenue, said South Bureau Detective Richard Hoffman. A car with two men pulled up and for unknown reasons one of them shot and killed George, Hoffman said.

George’s car went through the intersection and crashed into a fence. The assailants drove off. Descriptions of the men and their vehicle were not immediately released.
