Drawing Attention: Paramount Pictures, once the home of Betty Boop, Casper the Friendly Ghost and Little Audrey, is re-entering the animation field after a 30-year absence with a new multi-year deal with Hyperion Animation Co. The first of the planned family-oriented animated features is slated to be a musical romantic-comedy, targeted for late 1992. Hyperion founders Thomas Wilhite and Willard Carroll currently have in production the animated feature “Rover Dangerfield” for Warner Bros.
