A Federal Trade Commission investigation of men’s professional golf was launched several months ago but so far no action has been taken, Deane Beman, PGA Tour commissioner said.

A Feb. 21 memo Beman issued to players said investigators are looking into at least four areas, including tour rules involving foreign players’ access to U.S. events. Other areas include prohibiting appearance fees, division of prize money and participating in events conflicting with tour events.
