For an Irish fix. Gillilands, 2424 Main St., Santa Monica. (213) 392-3901. There will be a daylong celebration at this California-Irish restaurant. Brunch, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., includes colcannon and eggs, $8.95; Irish soda bread, $1; Irish breakfast, $9.95. Afternoon tea with live Irish harp music from 3-5 p.m. includes cucumber sandwiches, scones with jam and cream, shortbread, Guinness fruitcake and more, $15 per person. Dinner, served from 5-10 p.m. includes Blarney cheese and onion tart, $6; corned beef and cabbage, $15.95; Irish beef stew, $15.95.

Les Freres Taix, 1911 Sunset Blvd., Los Angeles. (213) 484-1265. Today everyone is Irish at this old-fashioned French restaurant. There’s always an excellent wine list, but today there are also traditional Irish drinks, Irish whiskeys and beers. Corned beef and cabbage with boiled potatoes will be served at lunch, $6.95; and at dinner, $8.95.

Milly O’Malley’s, 1301 5th St., Santa Monica. (213) 394-4647. On St. Patrick’s Day, this Irish pub is traditionally busier than Grand Central Station. There will be live Irish music all day so tune up your rendition of “Danny Boy.” Along with Irish beers and whiskeys, you’ll have a choice of corned beef and cabbage or Irish stew. $6 per person.

In addition to the brunch menu, there will be a special very green menu--corned beef and cabbage with green boiled potatoes, Irish lamb stew with green noodles, Irish tacos in baked potato shell, whitefish poached in beer with tomatillos and spinach. $32 for adults; $21 for children.

Ye Olde King’s Head, 116 Santa Monica Blvd., Santa Monica. (213) 451-1402. Where L.A. Brits gather to eat true pub grub. Drink a few pints, play darts and eat corned beef and cabbage. $6.95 per person.
