Talks on TWA Collapse: Negotiations between Trans World Airlines unions, St. Louis business leaders and Los Angeles investor Kirk Kerkorian over a possible offer for TWA have broken off. The Partnership for Air Service, an alliance of prominent St. Louis politicians and businessmen, said Kerkorian and the unions could not agree “on the structure of the (acquisition) package.” A spokesman for Kerkorian said there was no agreement on labor concessions.
