Hollywood to Get Its Own Farmers Market
Hollywood is scheduled to get its own Farmers Market, starting in May.
The market will be held on Ivar Street at Hollywood Boulevard from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sundays, starting May 5. It will offer fresh produce, flowers, fish and baked goods.
The Community Redevelopment Agency is providing banners and promotional materials, and this week, Councilman Michael Woo filmed a public service message designed to get merchants involved and to publicize the market.
The market itself will be operated and managed by the Hollywood Economic Revitalization Effort, known by its acronym HERE. Potential merchants or customers can obtain more information by calling HERE at (213) 463-3171.
