A couple and their son have filed a federal lawsuit against USAir, Delta Airlines and SkyWest Airlines, alleging negligence in the crash of two jetliners last month at Los Angeles International Airport that claimed 34 lives.

The lawsuit was filed Wednesday by lawyer Daniel Cathcart on behalf of Dayle and Abram Zukor and their son, Carter Cohn, seeking unspecified general damages. Cathcart said it was the second lawsuit he has filed in connection with the Feb. 1 collision. The first, filed two weeks ago on behalf of Rudolph Morfin of Downey, is believed to be the first personal injury lawsuit filed in the crash.

Cohn and his mother, who were on the USAir plane, suffered concussions, internal injuries and nerve damage, the lawsuit said. Abram Zukor is suing for the loss of consortium of his wife.
