Tyson-Ruddock Rematch Is Set for June
Promoter Don King said Monday that Mike Tyson and Razor Ruddock will meet in a June rematch at the Mirage hotel in Las Vegas.
Richard Steele probably will not be the referee.
Tyson won a disputed victory last week when Steele stopped the bout at 2 minutes 22 seconds of the seventh round after a flurry of punches by the former heavyweight champion sent Ruddock stumbling backward.
Steele is a blackjack pit boss at the Golden Nugget, which is owned by Steve Wynn, owner of the Mirage who has a two-fight deal with King.
King originally planned to match Tyson against Renaldo Snipes June 8 at the Mirage but said he anticipated no trouble in compensating Snipes to step aside.
