Artistic Rep: Santa Barbara artist Ann Hamilton has been nominated to represent the United States at the “1991 Sao Paulo Bienal” exhibition, opening in September in Sao Paulo, Brazil. If approved, Hamilton will create a mixed-media installation of indigenous materials. This year’s show will include works by about 300 artists from 40 countries.
