New Line Cinema to Get Advance in Deal: New Line Cinema Corp. said it will receive a “significant advance” against future revenue from a new agreement to distribute videocassettes through RCA/Columbia Pictures Home Video. The New York-based independent film company did not disclose the size of its advance under the three-year agreement. New Line will control marketing and manufacturing of the cassettes through its newly formed New Line Home Video division, while RCA/Columbia will be in charge of sales. Among the division’s first titles is “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II,” set for video release next fall.
